I have very, very big news that I can finally share. 🥹 Thrilled to report that I'm writing a YA series that I ABSOLUTELY LOVE, and have I mentioned how grateful I am to have the best agent in the world? ❤ The baby preorder is available here. I say "baby" because the cover isn't up yet, and only the hardcover version is available at this time. More to come soon!
I've read and loved YA my whole life, though we didn't call it YA when I was a teenager. Mixed in with my Dragon Riders of Pern and Stephen King novels, there was Lois Lowry, Madeleine L'Engle, and of course, VC Andrews. There's an even more impressive variety of YA books to choose from these days, and I. Am. So. Excited to be throwing this series into the pot. I'll have more to say about Rose (the main character) and these books in the months to come, but in the meanwhile, I hope you'll hit that preorder button.
p.s. I'll continue to write adult thrillers, even if they stop paying me. Stay tuned for some exciting news on the Murder by Month romcom series, too. 🥰

I am thrilled to report that The Quarry Girls won the Minnesota Book Award for Genre Fiction last night!
I'm still walking on stars.
It was wonderful to feel part of a larger community of writers, as well as to support libraries and librarians at a time when they’re both under attack. It’s never been more important to tell stories that upset the status quo, or to support writers on the margins. Keep reading dangerous books!
